1. CRAZY DAVE MEMORIAL @ ANON - 2.28.10

Sunday, February 28, 2010
6:00pm - 11:00pm

@ Anon Gallery
285 9th St. (@ Folsom)
San Francisco, CA

We will come together in LOVE to celebrate the life of our friend.

With Music, Food and Friends - Feel free to bring a pot luck dish.. Donations appreciated to help cover costs.

Our goodfriend and long-time Anon Salon accomplice,
DAVID MINASSIAN
aka Crazy Dave aka DJ Lazy $lave aka Daisy Crave
- died last month in Venice, CA as a result of injuries
sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Though he had lived in LA for a few years, he was a core part of the SF arts and music community.. We will gather this coming Sunday in his memory and send him off as he would have appreciated.

For the past five years, Dave has been Anon's in-house "jamaturg" for all things musical.
He saw things, called them as he saw them, and had an extraordinary appreciation
and love for people, for their talents and for all things creative.

Losing good people is a bitch... Dave was good people.

He will be missed. Join us in paying respects.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Musical Wizardry gratefully provided by his palz..
~ AUDIOVOID aka LayerZ (Muti Music)
More TBA... stay posted!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
** We will be setting up an Altar for all things David Minassian / Crazy Dave / Lazy $lave. ** Please bring photos, letters, and anything else you wish to contribute. ** Then it all will be taken to this year's Burn and given it up to the flames... **

You Don't Know Jack -  The Carpetbag Brigade  - http://www.carpetbagbrigade.com
Adding a Jungian twist with a dash of PTSD to Jack and the Beanstalk, You Don’t Know Jack is the Carpetbag Brigade’s surreal, comic tragedy of an alcoholic dead man and the shadow of his wildly dysfunctional family. Inspired by Robert Bly’s The Sibling Society,  this funny, nightmarish fairy tale mixes physical theater, dance and a live musical score created by the ensemble cast.

“The Carpetbag Brigade of San Francisco are a company not to be ignored; and they're presenting this most extreme and mind-blowing of all the shows on this year's Fringe about the damaging impact of war.”

8. BURNING MAN '09 Recap

It was a necessary year out there.. for me and for a lot of folks obviously.

The "default" world daily seems ever more the "FAIL" world.

Perhaps that is the way that the story must unfold..
BUT in the face of that, there's nothing to keep us from busting our asses
in joyful effort to craft viable and better alternatives.

So much incredible good work is being done by the PEOPLE. A lot was demonstrated this year
@ BM but also throughout the year everywhere and in so many incredible and humbling ways.

The "work" is now to reach the larger world with the transformative and
creative light of our being & love - this inner light of a thousand suns!
It's Bhagavad-Gita time, kids.. as Neil Girling's photo nicely illustrates.

The peaceful silence of 30,000 people at the Temple Burn on Sunday was "religious,"
irrespective of what you believe or don't believe. In fact, it matters not so much what
you believe, as how you behave. It's in how you treat yourself, the world and other
people that your truth is revealed.

So, let's get busy and make this year "work" - for all the best reasons and in all the best ways.
